If you are interested in applying for a scholarship from our current scholarship funds, read on for a description of each of our current scholarship funds, its purpose, and its application procedure.

Booker T. Washington Alumni of Northern California's John C. Madison Scholarship Fund

Supports an annual scholarship for a graduate of Elgin High School, Elgin TX, who is a descendant from students who attended Booker T. Washington School.
Students apply through the Career Specialist at Elgin High School.

First 5 Alameda County Scholarship Fund

Funds scholarships for upper division and graduate level early childhood professional education at Mills College, University of California, Berkeley, and at California State University, East Bay.
Applicants can visit the First 5 Every Child Counts website for additional details.

Howard Gong Memorial Scholarship Fund

Honors the work and life of Howard Gong by providing access to enriching educational experiences for low income children.
Program no longer accepting applications.

Alice B. Hansen Scholarship Fund

Provides college scholarships for graduates of Alameda High School.
Students must apply through the College and Career Center Technician at Alameda High School.

Sylvia Allison Kaplan Clinical Research Fund at Kaiser Permanente Northern California

Supports research by investigators using resources at Kaiser Permanente Northern California Division of Research.

Lam Research Core Values Scholarship Fund

Six four-year scholarships given to one graduating senior from each of the six high schools in Fremont, CA who best exemplifies Lam's core values.
Students must apply through their Fremont High School College and Career Specialists.

Last Mile Foundation II Fund

Scholarships and grants for students attending primarily African American colleges and universities.

Northern California Book Reviewers Fred Cody Award Fund

Supports the Fred Cody Awards for the recognition of authors who have contributed over their lifetimes to the community.
Recipients are nominated and chosen by the members of Northern California Book Reviewers Association.

Oakland High School Mathematics Club Scholarship Fund

Supports one or more scholarships for outstanding Oakland High Sschool Mathematics Club seniors pursuing higher education.
Students must apply through the Math Club at Oakland High School.

Scholarship for Extraordinary Character

Supports scholarships for young people who have demonstrated strong character, a desire to continue his/her education and need.
Program no longer accepting nominations.

RidesFund.org

Supports scholarships for inner city youth to learn horsemanship and animal husbandry.

Margaret McElhinnie Rotanzi Scholarship Fund

A scholarship at Alameda High School for graduating seniors.
Students must apply through the College and Career Center Technician at Alameda High School.

Thomas J. Sweeney Scholarship Fund

Supports members' children who are graduating from high school and pursuing college or an apprenticeship or are enrolled in a college, university or apprenticeship program.
