We believe in the quality of our leadership.  We’re especially pleased when that leadership is recognized by others.

For the second consecutive year, East Bay Community Foundation Board Chair Deborah Alvarez-Rodriguez and Foundation President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nicole Taylor have both been named to the list of “Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business” by the San Francisco Business Times.

The list has been published by the weekly business newspaper for 10 years.  This year, 150 women executives from the for-profit, non-profit, and government sectors were named and honored at a large awards celebration at the Hilton Hotel in San Francisco.

Alvarez-Rodriguez, President & CEO of Goodwill Industries of San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin County, has served on the Foundation’s Board of Directors since 2008.

Taylor, the first African-American to lead the Foundation, was appointed as President & CEO in 2007.

In congratulating the 150 women honored, Times Publisher Mary Huss noted, “Your leadership, your guidance, your example – and your generous spirit – help pave the way for tomorrow’s leaders.”
